If you're not seeing your OBD adapter in the list of Bluetooth devices that Carista shows, try pairing with it manually in your Android Bluetooth settings first (the PIN is usually 1234 or 0000). Note that if your OBD adapter shows up with a "headphones" icon, that means it's a bad clone and is not supported by Carista.
If you can see your OBD adapter in the list of Bluetooth devices in Carista, but Carista fails to connect to it, try the following:
- Unplug the adapter and plug it back in
- Turn off any other Bluetooth connections, incl. your hands-free connection to the car
- Turn off Bluetooth on your phone and turn it back on
- Make sure there are no other OBD apps running in the background (and turn off their auto-connect modes)
- Reboot your phone
If all else fails, open the More section (the gear icon) from the bottom navigation bar in Carista (after attempting and failing to connect) and use "Report a problem" to contact our technical support.
